On October 21, a unique meeting took place in Yinchuan, with Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Party Secretary Li Yifei and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Autonomous Region Zhang Yuping joined by regional officials and 15 private business leaders. The gathering aimed to address the concerns of businesses in a direct and interactive manner, focusing on problem-solving.
As the meeting commenced, Zhang Yuping set the tone, encouraging entrepreneurs to voice their issues regarding production and operational growth. He emphasized the importance of on-site discussions for immediate solutions.
Representatives from ten companies, including Baofeng Energy, Yinchuan Jianda, Junhua Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, and Zhengtai New Energy, took turns expressing their concerns. They raised 17 key issues spanning market expansion, resource allocation, policy implementation, and cash flow, reflecting diverse industries and highlighting the challenges faced by both local and foreign enterprises.
Following the presentation of these issues, leaders from various government departments, including the Water Resources Bureau and the Financial Office, provided real-time responses based on existing facts and policies. Additionally, concerns raised by another five participating companies were directly added to the agenda for government follow-up, ensuring accountability and responsiveness.
Originally scheduled to conclude at noon, the meeting extended until around 1 PM due to its productive nature, earning strong praise from the attending business leaders.
In closing, Li Yifei underscored the significance of such face-to-face engagements, reflecting the autonomous region’s solid commitment to supporting business growth and their determination to alleviate challenges faced by enterprises. He urged all parties to deepen understanding, enhance consensus, and maintain confidence in development, emphasizing that collaborative efforts are crucial for overcoming difficulties and revitalizing the economy. Li also noted that the goal goes beyond tackling immediate challenges, focusing on sustainable long-term development. To create an equitable competitive environment, he encouraged enhanced service support and a focus on the unique needs of businesses. He announced plans for a centralized working mechanism in Ningxia to ensure businesses’ voices are heard and addressed with sincerity and strength.
Since the beginning of this year, Ningxia’s government officials at the regional, city, and county levels have held 96 meetings to address the difficulties faced by private enterprises, successfully resolving 931 tangible issues through direct feedback and tailored action plans.
