On October 14, the -Agricultural Products Wholesale Price 200 Index- dropped 1.04 points from last Saturday.

On October 14th, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs revealed some interesting trends in the agricultural market through its monitoring reports. The “Wholesale Price Index for Agricultural Products” stood at 131.31, reflecting a decrease of 1.04 points from the previous Saturday. Notably, the wholesale price index for “basket” products also dropped, reaching 134.15, down by 1.20 points since last week.

By 2:00 PM today, the average wholesale prices for various meats were as follows: pork averaged 24.99 yuan per kilogram, a decline of 0.3% compared to last Saturday; beef was at 61.79 yuan, rising 0.5%; lamb saw a price drop to 58.72 yuan, down by 0.8%; while eggs increased to 10.38 yuan, up 0.4%. Additionally, whole chickens averaged 17.94 yuan, up by 0.8%.

When it comes to vegetables, the average price of the 28 key monitored varieties was 6.05 yuan per kilogram, marking a decrease of 1.9% from last Saturday. Conversely, the average price for 6 monitored fruit varieties rose to 7.29 yuan, up by 1.3%.

In terms of specific fish prices, crucian carp averaged 21.06 yuan, up by 1.3%; carp was recorded at 14.69 yuan, falling by 0.8%; while white catfish came in at 10.12 yuan, an increase of 1.4%. Pacific saury reached 40.85 yuan per kilogram, also up by 1.4%.

Of the 46 key fresh agricultural products tracked, the top five price increases compared to last Saturday were seen in giant peak grapes, watermelons, bananas, yellow croaker fish, and pear ducks, with price increases of 3.1%, 2.5%, 2.1%, 1.8%, and 1.7% respectively. On the other end, the five products with the largest price drops were spinach, oyster mushrooms, cucumbers, cauliflower, and zucchini, showing decreases of 6.4%, 4.2%, 3.5%, 3.5%, and 3.4%.
