**China Railway Beijing Group Representative:** Absolutely, we successfully completed our National Day transportation tasks, which spanned from September 29 to October 8 this year.

**Interviewer:** That’s impressive! How many passengers were transported in total?

**Representative:** Over the period, we recorded a total of 14.09 million passengers, averaging 1.4 million passengers per day. In the Beijing region alone, we transported 6.36 million travelers, averaging 636,000 daily. Additionally, Tianjin saw a total of 2.52 million passengers, while Hebei recorded 4.83 million.

**Interviewer:** Were there any notable peaks in passenger volume during this holiday?

**Representative:** Yes, indeed! October 1st marked the highest travel day, with 1.603 million passengers, setting a historical record for the holiday period. In fact, the Beijing region alone accounted for 831,000 passengers that day. The Qinghe Station also saw a significant flow, with 38,800 travelers. Other high-speed trains, including routes from Beijing to Zhangjiakou and Beijing to Xiong’an, also performed exceptionally well.

**Interviewer:** It sounds like you had a well-organized system in place. How did you manage the demand for additional transport capacity?

**Representative:** We carefully analyzed ticket sales and demand data from our online platform, which enabled us to strategically schedule additional services. During this peak period, we implemented various measures, such as increasing the number of high-speed train services and adding train cars to boost capacity, particularly towards popular destinations like Shanghai and Xi’an.

**Interviewer:** Did you work on any enhancements to improve service efficiency as well?

**Representative:** Absolutely! We collaborated closely with the Tianjin government to enhance our services. This included upgrading our electrical systems and implementing new operating schedules to increase the capacity on the Beijing-Tianjin intercity line, resulting in an 11.3% improvement in travel capacity during the holiday.

**Interviewer:** Could you elaborate on how you managed freight transportation during this busy period?

**Representative:** Certainly! Before the holiday, we organized our freight systems to engage with various industries, ensuring that we were prepared to handle production and logistical needs. We paid close attention to the supply of coal to power plants, ensuring that they maintained at least 20 days’ worth of coal reserves. Our teams stationed across multiple regions focused on monitoring transport operations, addressing issues, and ensuring the efficient movement of essential goods.
