On the afternoon of October 15, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, President Xi Jinping visited Aojiao Village in Chencheng Town, Dongshan County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. During his visit, he took a close look at the trading situation of dried seafood and fish products. He emphasized that village-level party organizations should play a leading role, guiding the local residents to capitalize on their maritime resources as they advance towards rural revitalization and common prosperity.
With three sides facing the sea, Aojiao Village has forged a new path in recent years by boosting the local economy through maritime development. The growth of unique industries has led to an increase in villagers’ incomes and an improvement in the village’s appearance.
“Revitalizing rural areas hinges on industrial growth,” stated President Xi during central meetings and research trips. He has repeatedly underscored the importance of developing specialized industries, providing clear direction for rural revitalization and modernization efforts.
