In mid-October, President Xi Jinping conducted inspections in Fujian and Anhui provinces, as well as visiting a rocket force unit.
On the afternoon of the 15th, Xi began his visit in Dongshan County, Fujian. He walked through the village of AoJiao in ChenCheng Town, assessing the environmental condition of AoJiao Bay and the village’s appearance. He also gathered detailed information on the trading of seafood and dried fish products. Later, Xi visited the Gu Wenchang Memorial Hall, where he learned about the local efforts to preserve revolutionary heritage and warmly interacted with teachers and students from the Gu Wenchang Cadre College. At the Guan Di Cultural Industry Park, he received updates on the preservation of cultural heritage and initiatives to promote cultural exchanges across the Taiwan Strait.
The following morning, on the 16th, Xi inspected the Xiamen area of the China (Fujian) Free Trade Pilot Zone. He viewed an exhibition showcasing the achievements of the pilot zone’s construction and received briefings on local efforts to expand reform and opening up, as well as exploring new pathways for cross-strait integrated development. That afternoon, during a meeting with the Fujian provincial government and party committee, Xi reiterated the importance of maintaining focus on goals and executing a comprehensive blueprint in the pursuit of modernization in China.
On the 17th, Xi visited a rocket force unit, examining its military history display and receiving insights into the tactical performance of weapons systems and the training of personnel. He listened to a work report from the unit and delivered an important speech, where he underscored the need for political leadership, a strong sense of mission, and diligent efforts to enhance the deterrent and operational capabilities of the strategic missile forces.
Later that day, Xi traveled to Tongcheng, Anqing, to learn about the historical significance of Liu Chi Xiang and its transmission, observing artifacts related to the “Tongcheng School” of literature. He was briefed on local efforts to promote and uphold traditional Chinese culture and to strengthen spiritual civilization initiatives. Xi then visited the Hefei Binhu Science City, where he reviewed major technological innovations and received updates on promoting innovation in technology governance and accelerating the conversion of scientific results.
On the morning of the 18th, Xi received a report from the Anhui provincial government and party committee, emphasizing the need to leverage a multilayered national development strategy to drive modernization efforts in Anhui province.
